Exploring the Complexity of Racism Book Discussion
Susan Yorston will lead a discussion of Harriet Wilson's "Our Nig, Sketches from the Life of a Free Black." Susan Yorston is a York resident, former Library board member and well-known educator, discussion leader, lecturer and program coordinator. She has taught in public and private schools around New England and helped develop educational programs on Native Americans, African Americans and women. This discussion series is a joint project of the York Public Library and the York Diversity Forum, and is funded by the Maine Humanities Council. All books in the series will be available from the Library and through the Minerva system. Space may be limited. Please register at the Library 207-363-2818.
