ECOLOGY OF THE GAUNTLET: Lessons Learned from Juvenile Salmon Migrations in British Columbia
Come learn about the incredible migrations taken by juvenile salmon to reach the open ocean. This talk by UNH professor and fish ecologist, Nathan Furey, will focus on a pristine system in British Columbia where juvenile sockeye salmon pass through a gauntlet of predators early on in their migration. The potential applications of research findings on Pacific salmon to species local to the Gulf of Maine will be discussed. Suggested donation is $2.
