SUMMARY:Fully Fledged: Adult Naturalist Series at the Center for Wildlife
DESCRIPTION:Treehouses: Not Just for Kids!\n\n\n\nEveryone loves treehouses\, animals included! Not only are trees great to play in\, but they make fantastic homes as well.\n\n\n\nThe abundance of tree species we have in our region supplies the perfect variety of homes for a large number of our wild friends. Whether it be the bald eagle\, who can build nests weighing up to 200 pounds\, or an Eastern Screech Owl\, content with a small tree cavity\, many of our bird and mammal species rely upon trees as the structural foundations for their dream homes. \n\n\n\nJoin Lead with Nature's Dan Gardoqui and Center for Wildlife staff and wildlife ambassadors for an evening of nature immersion\, exploration\, and storytelling (including yours!). This month we will be exploring the often hidden world of our arboreal wildlife species and learning about how our local wildlife utilize trees for dwelling\, feeding and surviving. Afterwards\, we will try our hand at building our own bird houses/boxes for specific species found in our region!\n\n\n\nThis program is open to participants ages 13+. Pre-registration and masks are required.
